With Fangorn Forest behind us we finally reached the definite end of our journey south.
After some planning and head scratching we decided to start our journey back towards Auckland. Starting now, we still would have time for little trips here and then and would not need to rush all the way back up in one or two days.
So we skipped the east coast of the South Island and instead headed back to Queenstown and Wanaka, where at some point on the way we spent the night...
